Gulf PlayStation E-Cup Football Tournament Kicks Off in the Green Halls on Friday

 In line with the activities accompanying the 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup organized by the emirate of the Riyadh Region, the Gulf PlayStation E-Cup Football Tournament will be held during 21-22 Nov., 2014 at the Hall of Youth Care Riyadh (Green Halls). Eight champions from the GCC form the league that will compete in the tournament matches. The winner of the tournament will receive a prize of 100,000 SR, second place receives a prize of 50,000 SR, and third place receives a prize of 25,000 SR.  The organizing committee also provides daily prizes for those who attend the tournament.
Three veteran football players from the golden era of the Saudi National Football Team will be present at the venue during the tournament to encourage the involvement of participants and to take photos with the audience.
The audience will also have the opportunity to take photos with the original Gulf Cup.
The eight GCC teams will be distributed into two groups of four, similar to the distribution of teams in the 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup, and will compete in FIFA 15 for PlayStation.
The teams will play in a one-round league, playing amongst their own group until they have competed against each team.  The first and second teams of each group will qualify for the semifinals.
Each team consists of five players and each match lasts for six minutes.
The first round of the tournament’s matches will kick off at 2 p.m. on Friday, ending later that evening at 11:30. The semifinals and finals will be held on Saturday from 12:30 to 7 p.m., which will be followed by the winners’ coronation ceremony.
