‘Security Media’ Receives over 122K Interactions with #insta_meylas

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – 3 May, 2015  [ME NewsWire]

Following the launch of the third part of the #insta_meylas initiative in May, the Security Media Department at the Abu Dhabi Police represented by the Social Media Center has received more than 122,000 comments. The public has been interacting with the Ministry of Interior’s initiative under the hashtag label #insta_meylas via social media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+.

First Lieutenant Fatima Al Shehhi, Director of the Social Media Center at the Security Media Department, praised the response of the public to the initiative and for sharing the updates posted by the MoI. She also noted that the mechanism for selecting the #insta_meylas content is based on choosing the distinctive public comments from previous posts on the Ministry’s Instagram account.

She also noted that the initiative included three parts that covered the comments of the public and presented them in short films that were produced in collaboration with the TV Branch at the Security Media Department.

The Social Media Center administrates the MoI accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+ and prioritizes public interaction and is available to answer inquiries 24/7 in a timely manner.

The Social Media Center is distinguished for its speed and accuracy in covering the news of the MoI and police headquarters alongside its ability to spread messages of awareness and introduce the services of the MoI.
