The Ministry of Interior’s Award for Smart Applications’ Assessment Committee has concluded their third assessment of ideas and proposals submitted for the Award at the countrywide level.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior indicated that the results will be announced on Sunday. Prizes will be distributed during a grand ceremony to be held in Abu Dhabi.
Colonel Al Dhaheri noted that this award reflects the directives set for the implementation of the Smart Government, in pursuance of the higher leadership’s vision. He also indicated that the award supports creativity and innovative individuals and promotes the concept of efficient team work between academic institutions and government agencies.
For her part, Major Dana Humaid, from the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, indicated that the three assessment processes of the submitted applications concluded during the past two months.
She also said: “The submitted applications were shortlisted to 6 proposals in the final phase. The selected proposals were evaluated by a number of sectors’ leaders and community dignitaries from the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, the United Arab Emirates University, the Federal Customs Authority, and Emarat Al Youm newspaper.
Concluding, she indicated that the prizes are as follows:
First place: AED 100,000
Second place: AED 75,000
Third place: AED 50,000.
The supervisory staff prizes are as follows:
First place: AED 10,000
Second place: AED 8,000
Third place: AED 7,000.
The universities’ prizes include: commemorative shields, certificates of appreciation and esteem, prizes for members of the supervisory staff and prizes for jury members.
