In five different humanitarian missions, an air ambulance from the Abu Dhabi Police airlifted six injured people to Sheikh Khalifa and Al Mafraq hospitals in Abu Dhabi, and to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain to pursue further medical treatment. The paramedics onboard the air ambulance provided the necessary medical treatment to three patients, two of which were children, who sustained injuries in a car accident, in addition to three other patients.
In the first case, the air ambulance transferred two Emirati children from Ibri Hospital in Oman to Tawam Hospital in the city of Al Ain. The children, “S.D,” age 10, and “H.D,” age 12, had sustained injuries in a traffic accident in Ibri while traveling to Salalah with their family. In a separate mission, the air ambulance flew a 30-year-old woman from the same family with a poor health condition to Tawam hospital.
In the third case, the air ambulance of the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department airlifted a 37-year-old Emirati man in poor health from Ruwais Hospital to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital.
In two separate cases, the air ambulance of the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department transported two individuals from Delma Hospital to Al Mafraq Hospital. The 18-year-old and 78-year-old Emirati men were both suffering from poor health conditions.
It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department, and its officers, personnel and paramedics, put forth substantial humanitarian assistance toward all community segments and provide medical care upon receiving emergency calls. These individuals work tirelessly round the clock to strengthen the safety and security of community members, utilize the most advanced practices according to international standards and quickly transfer patients to hospitals.
