(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ASQ’s United Arab Emirates member community will recognize quality professionals next year with a first-of-its-kind award for those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of quality.
The UAE Quality Professionals Award was announced recently as part of World Quality Month — a month-long celebration in November that raises awareness as to the impact of quality tools, processes and methodologies — in businesses and communities around the world. Quality leads to improved business performance and service quality by reducing waste and producing superior products.
The UAE Quality Professionals Award is designed to recognize the achievements, efforts and contribution of quality professionals in the United Arab Emirates. There is no other award like this in the country, according to Sunil Thawani, ASQ’s Country Counsellor.
“Our hope is that the award with motivate and encourage quality professionals to excel in the field, and work to make a difference in their organization and community,” Thawani said.
Among the criteria, candidates for the UAE Quality Professionals Award must:
have a minimum of five years’ experience in the quality profession
demonstrate professional leadership experience
contribute to quality publications or presentations.
