MoI Completes Preparations of Economic Sustainability Forum for Business

In Application of the Fourth Generation of Governmental Excellence System

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, April 5th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Economic Sustainability Center, completed its preparations for this year’s version of the Economic Sustainability Forums 2015 with the business sectors in the UAE.

Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stressed on the importance of economic sustainability in the UAE, especially with regards to the services that the MoI provides to the public in general, and the business sectors in particular. “This reflects the directives of the higher leadership for adopting fourth generation of Governmental Excellence System which is a world-first unique system designed to address requirements of sustainable development of governmental performance in the UAE,” he explained.

He also noted that the MoI is committed to implementing governmental excellence system. To realize this end, the Ministry, represented by police general headquarters, has developed communication channels with business sectors to foster reliability on police services, contribute to fostering the UAE position in safety and security, provide a safe investment environment, and develop the required policies.

Major General Al Nuaimi also noted that these forums fall within the framework of the continuous efforts of strengthening direct communication with businessmen and businesswomen to introduce them to the excellent efforts that the MoI exerts to achieve its vision of leading the UAE to become among the safest and most secure countries. He said that the MoI also introduces the business sector to its services that support their industry, establish a safe investment environment, and improve the UAE position on the international competitiveness map.

For his part, Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, explained that the strategic plan that was set with the participation of all MoI departments focuses on the future and proposes main and substitute scenarios to realize the MoI vision and support innovation and creativity in its services.

Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Chairman of the Higher Committee for International Competitiveness, said that the MoI embraces professionalism and excellence in fostering its security competitiveness which supports the economic competitiveness of the UAE. Based on its main objective of fostering safety and security, the MoI actively communicates with all society segments, including the business sector. The Ministry also develops its communication mechanisms to realize satisfaction of all community sectors for its services.

It is worth mentioning that the Economic Sustainability Center at the MoI has held a number of meetings with police general headquarters on the UAE level to review preparations for Sustainability Forums. The meetings were attended by Major Dr. Hamad Ahmad Al Darmaki, Manager of Economic Sustainability Center at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development, and a number of officers.
