La3eeb, the region’s largest online football gaming platform, hosted the grand finale of its eight-week long gaming competition in a live online match in Dubai recently. The gala event, which was attended by the crème de la crème of the region's football community, was held amidst great fanfare at the luxurious Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
Islam Imran from Egypt, residing in Riyadh, KSA, was announced the winner of the competition, walking away with a grand prize of a brand new Maserati Quattroporte Zegna.
The judging panel consisted of legendary football players Hazem Emam from Egypt and Fahad Al-Harifi Al-Bishi from Saudi Arabia and celebrated Egyptian referee Gamal Mahmoud Ahmed El-Ghandour, the first African to stand in a UEFA European Football Championship match.
The competition was held between eight final winners of the eight-week long competition where more than 110,000 players participated from across the Middle East. Each of the winners has already been rewarded with either an all-expense paid trip to watch a live football match in Europe or a 65” TV with home theatre.
Commenting on the competition, Mr Alaa Almumalah, Operations Director, La3eeb, said: “La3eeb is an interactive gaming platform created for those who are passionate about football and luxury cars alike. We wanted to create a compelling game that’s based on skill for football lovers and lead them to rewards that would be equally compelling. In just three months since La3eeb was launched, we have received an overwhelming following of more than 110,000 people from across the Middle East, and we only see this number growing. We are very happy to have hosted the grand finale event in Dubai, a city that is well-known for its love of both football and luxury cars. This is only the first of many such competitions that we will conduct in the future.”
La3eeb is a competitive online gaming portal and application for football fans and luxury car lovers from the Middle East.
La3eeb chose to partner with Maserati for the grand winning prize of the first competition.
“We are very pleased to have given away a Maserati as the grand prize for this event. Maserati is the dream car of every luxury car lover. We are very happy to make this dream come true for the grand winner of La3eeb’s first region-wide competition”, Mr Abdulla Jameel, Vice President of La3eeb, said.
“La3eeb is the result of a few passionate footballers and car lovers coming together to create a platform that would help people indulge in their love for both, football and cars. La3eeb gives the opportunity to football lovers to win their dream car by playing the game of skill online. In a very short span of time, this game has amassed the love of many, including some of the biggest names in football in the region,” he added.
The game is played by analysing the exact location of the football in a live action picture where the ball has been hidden. The analysis is made based on the movements and looks of the football players in the picture. With every participation, the chances of the competitor increases. The more the competitor gets closer to the place of the ball which is chosen by the panel of referees, his chances of winning the car increases.
A carefully chosen panel of referees, consisting of renowned football players and coaches, decide the location of the ball based on their experience and knowledge of the game. The results decided by the referees are posted on the app and website of La3eeb every week and the person with the closest judgment is declared a winner.
The competition is played every week, and after every eight weeks, a grand finale is held to decide the final winner among the top eight players. A brand new Maserati is up for grabs every eight weeks as the grand prize of the competition.
