The UAE Internal Audit Association revealed the details of the 13 Annual Regional Audit Conference entitled “Riding the Crisis Wave; Challenges and Opportunities” the conference is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan – UAE Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research he will also inaugurate the said conference.
UAE Internal Audit Association held their Press Conference on Monday 10th April 2012 in “Al Murooj Rotana” Hotel in Dubai in which Mr. Abdul Qader Obeid Ali; the president of the association gave a speech and welcomed the guest.
Mr. Abdul Qader Obeid Ali says that the event is the 1st of its kind in the Middle East. This has 24 different presentations and are split across 8 different tracks over 2 days, as well offers the latest views and insights by highly rated speakers in the fields of Internal Auditing, risk management & corporate governance, the event will also invaluable networking opportunity for audit professionals and key decision makers from leading organizations.
Representatives of the following firms in the field of Internal Auditing attended the Press Conference as Key – Partner sponsors Hossam Samy from Deloitte, Ali Raza from PWC and Ahmed Bassiouni from Protiviti . The President of the Association thanked them for their attendance. He thanked the Representatives of the local Mass Media who attended the Press Conference for their role in conveying the real image of Internal Audit to the public.

About the UAE-IAA
The UAE Internal Audit Association (IAA) was set up in July 1995, as a non-profit organization along the lines of its parent body with the support and co-operation of the Emirates Group, the Economic Department, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Al Futtaim, Emirates Bank and DUBAL. On the 24th of June 2006 the IIA in Dubai sought and gained approval to become IIA UAE.
In 2008 they obtained a license to become the UAE Internal Audit Association. The Association now has the support of leading companies from the UAE who are involved in promoting theprofession of Internal Auditing through this medium.
