Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, January 23rd 2014 [ME NewsWire] The Community Police Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a workshop on electronic publishing systems at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi. It is worth mentioning that the two-day workshop was attended by 20 staff members from the various community police departments in Abu Dhabi.
Lieutenant Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of Department of Community Police at Abu Dhabi Police, took part in the workshop’s graduation ceremony and distributed certificates to the graduates. In his speech at the event, he said: “This workshop falls in line with the ongoing development plan for police work systems adopted by the Abu Dhabi Police to achieve its strategy of improving police work and reaching the highest standards of excellence,” stressed Lieutenant Colonel Bin Muhairom.
Furthermore, he added that the electronic publishing system saves a lot of time and effort in the communication process between all community police sections in the various police stations across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. “It also highlights the various activities and events organized by the section, to allow assessment of their involvement in society, and to measure productivity and public satisfaction regarding community-related action,” said Bin Muhairom. He also noted that the system enables the police to archive news and events using state-of-the-art methods, and praised the efforts of the participants at the workshop to improve the police services provided to the public.
The workshop featured a detailed explanation of the electronic publishing system, and how it can be used to input news, photos and documents, and how to store them.
The closing ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of the Community Police; Captain Majed Al Tamimi, Chief of the Community Awareness Section; as well as a number of officers and staff members from the Community Police in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.
