Al Ain Police Conducts Mock Drill to Handle Poisoning Incident

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, January 23rd 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Al Ain Police Directorate carried out a successful mock drill to provide first aid to a number of students at Khalid Ibn Al Walid School for boys in Al Shabhat area in Al Ain. The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority “ADFCA” took part in the drill, along with a number of Al Ain hospitals, the school’s administrative staff and the concerned police authorities.

According to the drill’s scenario, the Operations Room received notification at around 10:07 a.m. The relevant security and emergency entities immediately responded. A number of ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched to the incident’s site, along with the Field Hospital unit affiliated to Emergency and Public Safety Department, to provide first aid and medical treatment to students who were supposedly poisoned at the aforementioned school.

The Al Murabba Police Station was also notified, to provide support and investigate the circumstances of the incident, in collaboration with the school’s administration and the competent authorities. It is worth mentioning that all concerned entities managed to reach the school in the designated time.
