Major General Al Menhali called upon the pilgrims across the UAE to comply with the instructions issued by the relevant authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, upon arrival to Saudi Arabia. Comprehensive and accurate information about pilgrims and their companions shall be provided to Saudi Authorities to ensure full and quick services.

He noted that the concerned authorities at the Customs Department of Al Ghuweifat border point provided tents with amenities and medical services, water, juices, dates and meals, for the convenience of pilgrims to make pilgrims’ travel comfortable, as well as finalizing their travel procedure within minutes.

Major General Al Menhali urged pilgrims, especially those traveling by land, to follow the safety requirements during their travel and to make sure to have the necessary requirements to make their travel comfortable and hassle-free, in coordination with the police and the concerned authorities.

He pointed that coordination is underway with the Security Media Department to broadcast a number of awareness ads on giant screens installed in shopping malls across Abu Dhabi, and at a number of residential buildings.

The awareness messages on these screens aim to enhance public awareness about traffic safety, and boost the culture of security and traffic safety via modern means, notably through the Abu Dhabi Police website, and the various social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
