Hilton HHonors Members Earn Double Points After Voting on Year-End Promotion

Hilton will also donate $300,000 to charities selected by voters
MCLEAN, Va. - Saturday, November 1st 2014 [ME NewsWire]

(BUSINESS WIRE) Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s 12 distinct hotel brands, today revealed its latest global promotion, Double Up. For the first time in the program’s history, Hilton HHonors members were asked to vote for HHonors’ year-end promotion. The votes have been tallied and, from November 1, 2014 through January 31, 2015, HHonors members will earn Double HHonors Points beginning on their second stay at participating Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Curio – A Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations properties.

In addition to allowing HHonors members to vote for their favorite bonus offer, Hilton also asked members to weigh in on which charity the program should give back to this holiday season. Members were invited to vote between three charities – Save the Children, Mercy Corps and Oxfam. The charity that received the most votes was Save the Children, an organization that gives children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. Hilton will donate $200,000 to Save the Children, and Mercy Corps and Oxfam will each receive a $50,000 donation.

“We saw an amazing participation rate during the voting period, with more than 270,000 Hilton HHonors members playing an active role in deciding how they want to be rewarded for their continued loyalty,” said Mark Weinstein, global head loyalty and partnerships. “This volume of engagement demonstrates not only our members’ enthusiasm for maximizing their travel experiences, but also their commitment to meaningful charitable causes.”

“We are so thankful to have been chosen by HHonors and its members as the recipient of such a generous donation,” said Carolyn Miles, president and CEO of Save the Children. “This support will bring smiles to many children in need around the world this holiday season and throughout the new year.”

To participate in this promotion, members can register at HHonors.com/DoubleUp. Stays can be booked now and completed between November 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015. For more information or to become a Hilton HHonors member, visit HHonors.com.
