Badran Wins the “Ideal Financial Leader” Global Award

Dedicated the achievement to HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed

In cooperation with the US-based International Police Science Association (IPSA), the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC) has awarded Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, the “Ideal Financial Leader” award in the area of police work.

The award cones in recognition of his achievements in the area of financial management, as well as his efforts in implementing the best standards.

Major General Badran was granted this award in recognition of his valuable and effective role in developing the police financial work processes; in terms of funds and budget management and shifting to electronic systems, all of which fall within the local police leadership’s vision to develop a sound financial policy that contributes to providing customers with the best services.

Major General Badran dedicated this achievement to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who provides limitless support and encouragement to all staff members at the police institution, in order to empower them to show creativity, innovation, and continuous excellence in all areas of police work. He said: “Obtaining this award clearly demonstrates the prestigious stature attained by the Ministry of Interior on the global competitiveness index.”

According to Major General Badran, keeping pace with the latest systems and technologies to upgrade and develop services has become an important priority in order to save time and effort, make landmark achievements and maintain those achievements. “Such goal enables the Abu Dhabi Police to maintain a leadership position and enhance the Ministry of Interior’s stature on the global competitiveness index,” he continued.

In conclusion, Major General Badran stressed the unrelenting commitment of the MoI’s staff members to achieve excellence and success in all areas related to police work, and to win international awards in a manner that befits the status and reputation of the UAE in international platforms and global competitiveness.

The “National Security Summit Middle East” Conference, which was recently held in Abu Dhabi, has announced that Major General Khalil Dawood Badran was the recipient of the award; amidst a significant international attendance of officials from the European Union, the United Nations, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that the International Police Science Association (IPSA) is a nonprofit association, based on the state of New Jersey, United States of America. The main activity is police sciences and with global geographical scope.  It performs its functions, undertakes its competencies and aims to achieve several objectives , notably developing the local Arab and international scientific, cultural, institutional, individual, efforts in the field of developing police sciences; strengthening channels of communication between the police thinkers and researchers in the various branches and fields of police sciences and other sciences, in order to develop the exchange of thought, and to develop the academic and applied expertise and experiences.

The association also aims at encouraging intellectuals in the police field and other areas of scientific knowledge to establish self-independent knowledge and to employ the sources of natural and human knowledge related to the police sciences in a manner that leads to the integration of all its elements; studying the security phenomena by using various methods of scientific research in various police studies; developing the scientific personnel with specialized police expertise, providing the appropriate academic climate  and resources to achieve these goals. The award is granted according to international standards, based on how the candidate manages the financial budget.
