ADP Medical Services Department Wins the Silver Award at the International Summit 2013

In Recognition of its Achievements in Using Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, October 23rd 2013 [ME NewsWire]

For the second consecutive year, the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, represented in Medical Services Department, won the Silver Award in the Marketing Effectiveness Award (MEA) 2013 for the “government marketing” category. The Award recognizes the department’s achievements in the efficient use of ultrasound in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal fields.

The Award is conducted by the Summit International Awards (SIA), with more than 800 entities from across the world competing in the 2013 Award categories.

 “The Medical Services Department’s landmark achievement by winning the Silver Award in the 2013 Summit International Awards reflects the police higher leadership’s support for medical services which allowed the Medical Services Department to attain a leading prominent position in the health care sector, and to ensure that patients receive high-end distinguished medical care,” said Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police.  He also emphasized that the Award is another incentive to further enhance quality indicators of the services provided by the Medical Services Department.

Colonel Jassem Al Tunaijy, Head of Medical Services Department at Abu Dhabi Police, noted that the Medical Services Department is an active participant in hosting and attending medical events on both local and international levels, to streamline the exchange of knowledge and keep abreast of the latest medical developments.  This would ensure the success of service development and integration system at the Medical Services Department in providing the necessary treatment and medicine to patients.

For his part, Dr. Ayman Mohammed Fahim, Osteologist; Director of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Basic Course on Interventional Ultrasound in Musculoskeletal lesions said: “Winning the Silver Award in the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award for the second consecutive year rewards the Medical Services Department’s diligent efforts in providing medical knowledge in an efficient and productive manner. It also indicates the level of development attained by the department in providing medical care and treatment for the MoI staff members and their families, by participating in medical and therapeutic events on the international level.”

He also pointed out that the sixth edition of the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal lesions has started, and is attracting doctors and technicians working in the medical sector from the UAE and the world.

Furthermore, Jocelyn Luciano, Executive Director of the Summit International Award, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the Abu Dhabi Police on the Medical Services Department’s well-deserved win, emphasizing that winning the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award is an outstanding achievement.
