RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C - Wednesday, October 23rd 2013 [ME NewsWire]
(BUSINESS WIRE) After receiving nine individual Great Place to Work® awards in 2013, Quintiles has again been recognized as one of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces by Great Place to Work®, ranking 18th on the 2013 list.
This ranking is the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the top-25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture. Quintiles has been named to the Best Multinational Workplace list in each of the ranking’s three years of existence.
Qualifying companies must have been selected for at least five national Great Place to Work lists, have at least 5,000 employees worldwide and count at least 40 percent of their global workforce outside of the company’s home country. Quintiles received individual Great Place to Work awards in 2013 for its operations in Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
“We are honored to be among the top-25 multinational workplaces again this year,” noted Quintiles’ Chief Administrative Officer Mike Mortimer. “As a service provider, the value we bring to our biopharma customers comes directly from our 27,000-plus employees around the world. Creating and maintaining a positive working environment which the best and brightest seek out is a key component of Quintiles’ success.”
Great Place to Work now recognizes leading workplaces in nearly 50 countries. The World’s Best Multinational Workplace list is based on a pool of data from some 2,900 companies that were listed on Great Place to Work country lists. Every year, Great Place to Work analyzes data from surveys taken by more than 5 million employees and workplace culture analytics taken from 7,200 companies, representing more than 16 million employees.
“The companies listed on the third-annual World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list are creating workplaces dedicated to fostering trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees,” said China Gorman, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Their inclusion on this prestigious list demonstrates their commitment to continually improving the lives of their employees and setting innovative new standards for workplaces of the future.”
