The Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General at the Ministry of Interior recently organized a workshop at the Sharjah Federal Police Academy headquarters. The workshop discussed means to improve the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award System, and was attended by a number of staff members from the various leaderships and departments at the Ministry of Interior, divided into four groups.
Major Abdul Rahman Al Mansouri, Director of the Corporate Excellence Department at the Ministry noted that the participants’ opinions on the award’s criteria were collected and reviewed. This aims to improve the award’s system and to develop its standards, so as to meet the award’s objectives to become a key factor in encouraging and motivating human resources, and improving the ministry’s organizational units.
He also pointed out to the Police leadership’s directives, which call for the continued optimization of the system, with the participation of leaders and staff; indicating that the award reflects the police leadership’s commitment to develop the MoI’s management systems and to enhance the efficiency of its staff members.
Concluding, Major Al Mansouri added that the award system development process will be carried out by specialists in the field of quality and excellence. At the end of the workshop, technical reports will be submitted to improve the system.
