Sheikh Khaled Al Juffali: My Duties are Coordination with Local and Regional Authorities not Issuing Visas

Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al Juffali, the Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Jeddah stressed that his responsibilities involve meeting and coordinating with the local and regional authorities, promoting the image of Switzerland in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to maintaining communication channels with the consular corps individuals, and assisting the Swiss tourists when needed.

He also indicated that the number of the Swiss residents in KSA is about 400 people; more than 40% of them are in Jeddah alone.

He also explained that his duties as the honorary consul of Switzerland do not involve issuing entry visas to Switzerland. He noted that applying for entry visas to Switzerland will continue as per the current procedures by applying at the Swiss Visa Application Center in Jeddah, Al Etimad Visa Centre, Al Muhammadiyah 1 District.

Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al Juffali also expressed his gratitude for the H.E. Heinrich Schellenberg, Switzerland Ambassador to the KSA and the other esteemed ambassadors and consuls for attending the event that witnessed appointing him as the honorary consul of Switzerland in Jeddah.

Observers have attributed electing Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al Juffali for this high honorary position to the unique commercial relations he has with many European countries and the great success pf the companies he chairs in Saudi Arabia which are considered as the leading companies in its industries. These, they say, will further support the Swiss commercial business in Saudi Arabia.
