89 Inmates Honored at the Conclusion of Sports Activities at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, July 16th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters honored 89 inmates who participated in the Ramadan session of cultural, religious, and sporting events. The Ramadan session was organized under the patronage of Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (ADCO).

During the events, a significant number of inmates performed the Tarawih Prayers, recited the Holy Quran and attended religious awareness lectures. Amidst a festive atmosphere, the lectures held in the theater of the establishments included questions and quizzes on religious and cultural topics.

The sports activities witnessed high levels of participation from the inmates who enthusiastically participated in the basketball, football, volleyball, Ping-Pong, table football, and tug-of-war tournaments.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Saad Mohamed Saad, Director of the Training Institute at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters; and Saif Juma’a Al Hosani, Head of Public Affairs Department in ADCO. At the conclusion of the event, gifts were distributed on the winning inmates.
