Emirates Insolaire’s first-in-the-world coloured solar panels generate huge interest at EnerSolar in Brazil

Sao Paulo - Thursday, July 16th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

Emirates Insolaire LLC, a pioneer in the development of new solar technologies and a joint venture of Dubai Investments PJSC [DI] and SwissINSO Holding Inc., has announced that the company’s revolutionary solar glass technology has generated a lot of interest during EnerSolar+ Brasil 2015 exhibition, currently under way in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The company, which recently completed the installation of world’s first KromatixTM coloured solar PV modules on a building façade in Lausanne, Switzerland as well as projects in Basel and Austria, is showcasing its latest innovations in coloured solar panels – the first-of-its-kind in the world which generates energy on its own. Over 250 exhibitors from across the globe are attending EnerSolar, running till July 17.

Emirates Insolaire sees huge growth potential for its coloured solar panels, powered by the KromatixTM technology amidst 40% year-on-year growth in the photovoltaic market globally. The total number of installations in solar in the world is foreseen for 2015 as 160 GW – approximately 800 million square metres of glass.

Emirates Insolaire expects sales over 50,000 square metres for coloured solar panels in 2015 alone. The company has already initiated plans to ramp up its solar glass production in excess of 1.5 million square metres per year in line with the surging demand and enquiries from GCC states, Europe, USA, Singapore, South Korea and South America.

“Emirates Insolaire has ushered in a paradigm shift in solar applications with its energy-elegant dress on buildings, bringing an important relief to our home planet, and a financial one to the energy user. The KromatixTM solar panels can supply between 20% and 60% of needed energy for a building. For certain industries with large roof and façades, this can go up to 100%. The company reinforces this unique offering through exhibitions such as EnerSolar,” said Rafic Hanbali, Managing Partner of Emirates Insolaire.

Emirates Insolaire, part of Glass LLC – the glass pioneers in the Middle East, manufactures its coloured solar glass panels at the Emirates Glass manufacturing facility in Dubai.
