Dubai Internet City to Welcome High-Profile MIT Professor for Course on Digital Innovation

Dubai Internet City (DIC), the Middle East and North Africa’s largest ICT hub, will host a two-day programme by the world-renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Digital Innovation, on 4-5 August 2014 at The Fairmont, The Palm, Dubai. This is the first time that the programme will be held in the Middle East, and demonstrates the rapid growth of digital innovation in the region.

Led by Dr. Sanjay Sarma, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of Digital Learning at MIT, the course is held in partnership with Eruditus Executive Education and aims to give participants the opportunity to heighten their understanding of key technology trends applicable to the business world.

Comprising of a series of eight sessions spread over the two days in addition to individual interactions with Dr. Sarma, the Digital Innovation programme seeks to identify and evaluate new innovation products and businesses; assist participants in devising corporate plans for innovation and new product generation; encourage critical thinking in dealing with challenges in technology, product, sales, marketing and financing; and further our understanding of the processes required to successfully set up IP strategy. On successful completion of the course, attendees receive a Certificate of Participation from MIT Professional Education.
