Hewitt Announces the 2nd Best Employers in Middle East 2011 Study

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Tuesday, September 14th 2010 [ME NewsWire]:

The largest employee research of it's kind in the region

Focus on driving business results through people

Hewitt Associates, a global human resources services company, today announced the launch of the Hewitt Best Employers in Middle East 2011 study.

The study provides insights into alignment of people practices to business. It enables an organization to measure the effectiveness of its people practices, and identifies a shortlist of the Hewitt Best Employers in Middle East 2011.

The Hewitt Best Employers in Middle East 2011 study is a part of the Hewitt Best Employers in APAC 2011 study, which spans 11 markets including Australia/New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Organizations can now register and participate in the largest employee research project of its kind, expected to represent the views of almost two hundred thousand employees across the region.

Ms. Smita Anand – Regional Director, Asia Pacific Consulting, Hewitt Associates, said, “With the Hewitt Best Employers APAC 2011 study, we complete a decade of the study in the APAC region. With this study we shall continue our endeavor to drive cutting-edge people practices through research and analytics on contemporary industry trends.

The 2011 study will have an increased focus on alignment of people practices to business. We will study business impact of positive people practices, and evaluate the actions and behaviors of different employee segments that enable improved business performance.”

Hewitt Best Employers are selected by an independent judging panel comprised of leading academics and eminent business leaders. Participation is strictly confidential. Only the organizations that are named Hewitt Best Employers are identified publicly.

Mr. Samir Mardini – Talent & Performance Solution Leader, Middle East and South Asia, Hewitt Associates, said, "The inaugural Best Employers in Middle East 2009 study successfully represented views of over 150,000 employees across the Middle East region. This representation made it the largest employee research project in the Middle East. The Best Employers 2011 study will focus on not only how organizations drive business results through their people but also how The Best succeeded during the economic downturn.

While revealing how organizations in the Middle East are achieving a real competitive advantage through their people, the study also indicates where an organization is at on its journey to becoming a Best Employer. We expect this study to enhance the standards of people practices in Middle East, making the region a better place to work."

Companies can register their interest to participate in the study by visiting www.hewitt.com/bestemployersmiddleeast.
