Al Mahmoud Ramadan Council Urges Citizens to Register For Twajudi Service

Discussed the Theme “Our Image Abroad”

The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior organized a Ramadan council in Al Ain under the theme, “United in Destiny: Our Image Abroad.” The council was hosted by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Mahmoud who urged citizens who travel abroad to register in the ‘Twajudi’ electronic service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that they can be easily reached.
The council stressed the importance of access to the services provided by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointing to the importance of the participation of the Ministry of Education in spreading awareness among the students about respecting law culture.
The council requested for citizens travelling abroad as tourists to keep a low profile and to respect the laws of the countries they visit. The participants also called on airline companies operating within the UAE to contribute in spreading awareness and educating travelers who come to the UAE for work or pleasure about the applicable laws of the UAE. 
The participants recommended organizing Ramadan councils in the UAE embassies abroad for the Emirati students that are enrolled in Arab and foreign universities, and for citizens who may be travelling overseas during the holy month of Ramadan.
The council was moderated by journalist Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi and attended by Ibrahim Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, Member of the Advisory Board of the GCC Supreme Council; Mahmoud Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABS Holdings; Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Shamesi, Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmood, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media; Dr. Matar Mohammed Saif Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Al Ain Municipality; Dr. Sulaiman Musa Al Jassim, Academic Researcher and Former Director of Zayed University; Ahmad Ali Al Bloushi, General Manager of Emirates Media Incorporated; Rashid Abdul Karim Al Balushi, Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi Securities Market; Dr. Ali Qassem AlShuaibi, Media Expert and Thinker, Media Professor at the University of Ajman; Hamad Noor Al Mulla Al Baloushi, Medical Laboratory Specialist and Director of the Regional Blood Bank in Al Ain; Dr. Saeed Salem Al Sheikh Al Balushi, Consultant of Internal Medicine at Welcare Hospital and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center in Dubai; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Salah Obeid Al Ghoul, Director of Law Respect Culture Bureau, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Dr. Abdullah Hassan Gharib Al Baloushi, Executive Director of the Lands and Property Affairs Sector at the Department of Municipal Affairs, Abu Dhabi; Major Abdurahman Mohammed Al Juwaidi, Head of International Conventions and Conferences in the International Cooperation Department; and Major Mohammad Khalifa Al Hamoudi of the Human Rights Office.
The participants discussed the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, of sending aid to countries in need, and the UAE winning bid to host the international exhibition Expo 2020, which reflects the extent of UAE’s international reputation. 
Furthermore, the participants addressed the major role of ambassadors, students and tourists and their part in showing the bright image of the UAE.
The council also discussed various economic aspects of the UAE and the phenomenal growth of the stock exchange ranging between 65% and 110% compared with the U.S., which recorded only 30%. They also discussed the role of the Emirates Competitiveness Council in upgrading the stature of the UAE among other countries to the top ranks.
Ultimately, participants emphasized that the excellence of the UAE stems from its strategy and wise leadership that cares about justice, equality and tolerance.
