Etisalat Recognises its Top Talent to Inspire and Motivate Employees at work

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Tuesday, November 9th 2010 [ME NewsWire]:

Etisalat today honoured a number of its employees who achieved outstanding levels of performance. The ceremony, which took place at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai, is part of Etisalat’s ongoing commitment to motivate employees and recognise their creativity and hard work.



At the event, Nasser Bin Oboud Al Falasi, Acting CEO of Etisalat, awarded employees who have achieved significant levels of performance.



During the ceremony Nasser Bin Obood said: “Etisalat has achieved a quantum leap in the regional telecommunications sector through introducing trend-setting services and technologies in the UAE. This has been accomplished thanks to the skills and experiences of Etisalat’s employees, who are the real asset and key driving force responsible for the company’s continuous growth and excellence. Etisalat strives to develop and to train its employees by conducting workshops that aim to inform them of the latest developments in the telecommunications sector. Etisalat trains around 6,000 employees every year through the Etisalat Academy and external training platforms. Etisalat is one of the largest employers of of the UAE’s talent pool. It recruits 10,000 employees, 35 per cent of whom are UAE nationals, making Etisalat one of the largest organisations to employ the UAE’s national workforce. Moreover, 90 per cent of Etisalat’s senior management are from the UAE.



Prior to this, Etisalat graduated more than 500 engineers from the erstwhile ‘Etisalat University College’, now known as ‘Khalifa University for Science Technology and Research’. The engineers graduated in Bachelor, Master and Doctorate programs.



Etisalat’s training programs have been conducted for a total of 33,000 days, of which the corporation’s Emirati employees have benefitted from 15,000 days of training. From a total of 5800 employees trained under the programs, the number of Emirati employees trained till date is 2500.
