MoI Introduces Concept of Law Culture to Ministry of Energy Employees

The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior recently organized an educational seminar for the employees of the Ministry of Energy in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This seminar aims to introduce employees about the law respect culture along with its diverse applications in everyday life.

In regards to the concept of the law respect culture, Captain Hamdan Al Hafiti, from the Community Education department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said, “The purpose of establishing the foundations of a law respect culture in all segments of society is to build a human ideal, where the laws, regulations, and ethics of an organization are perceived and implemented in the lives of individuals and communities through respect only, and not done so out of fear of penalty or punishment.”

He explained that the practical application of these concepts primarily consists of learning about the laws and regulations. Following the provisions of and exhibiting respect for these rules and regulations forms an elite form of civilization for individuals and societies.

Captain Al Hafiti presented a range of offenses related to public service along with the statements detailing the laws outlining the relevant penalties and sanctions for the perpetrators of crimes such as bribery and fraud. He pointed out the crimes public employees may face and the determined legislative sanctions set in place in order to guard their important roles in the public service and to protect them from unknowingly committing other crimes.
