Abu Dhabi Community Police Celebrates Workers’ Day at ICAD City

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, May 4th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

The Community Police Branch at the Musaffah affiliated to the Department of Community Police at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a ceremony celebrating the International Workers’ Day on May 1st. The ceremony was held at the ICAD Residential City.

The ceremony was attended by Captain Mohamed Saeed Al Ameri, Musaffah Community Police Branch Manager; Jum’a Saeed Al Ka’bi, Executive Director of Collective Housing at ICAD; and Ahmad Al Wahidi from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, along with a number of Community Police staff.

During his speech at the ceremony; Captain Al Ameri stressed Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to celebrate this occasion, and organize events and activities for workers due to their important role in the society. He also assured that such appreciation to their work emanates from the teachings of Islam which granted workers their full rights and stated a humanitarian and kind approach towards them.

He added that the world celebrates this day in appreciation and admiration for every female and male worker present at the operation and production sites. “Through their efforts and dedication, they contribute to people and nations’ growth, and achieve development and prosperity to their societies,” he continued.

The ceremony’s program comprised a number of spots including performances of the Abu Dhabi Police musical band and performances of students from the Future International School. A football match between workers was also organized at ICAD City. Towards the conclusion of the event, workers were honored and they received awards marking the occasion.
