(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tonight the world famous Regent Street Christmas lights were switched on by movie stars from the new 3D family Christmas film; ARTHUR CHRISTMAS. British actors, Bill Nighy and Ashley Jensen waved to thousands of fans gathered for the traditional countdown “traffic free” event on Regent Street London W1. Pop stars Kelly Clarkson and Matt Cardle entertained the audience with live performances, supported by the cast of the West End musical Thriller and The West End Gospel Choir. The event closed with a spectacular pyrotechnic display from the Regent Street rooftops illustrating Regent Street’s unique ability to produce large-scale traffic free events ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.
