Ramadan Sports and Charitable Events at Sharjah Air Wing Section

The Sharjah Air Wing Section, affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, organized an array of activities and events within the second Air Wing Ramadan Forum for 2014. The activities and events included Ramadan lectures, sport championships and charitable activities as per the "Ramadan Befriend your neighbors" initiative, most notably the Air Wing Section Volleyball Championship.
The championship witnessed significant interaction from the sports audiences. Colonel Pilot Trainer Ibrahim Obaid Mubarak, Search and Rescue Branch Manager at the Air Wing Section, honored the winning teams: the Air Wing Section team ranked first; the Air Arabia team ranked second; while the Federal Police School came in third place.
It is worth mentioning that the participating teams were named after the Air Wing Section’s martyrs, namely; Colonel Pilot Massoud Ali Al Dhaheri; Lt. Colonel Pilot Mohamed Abdul Aziz Al Shirawi; Major Pilot Abdul Rahman Rashed Al Zamar; and Lieutenant Technician Mohamed Rashed Al Muaili. This gesture aims to commemorating their names and perpetuate their memory.
Several teams took part in the Air Wing Section Volleyball Championship in addition to the Air Wing Section team, notably the Federal Police School, the Emirates Identity Authority and SANID.
