The World Economic Forum and CPC Host Workshop in Riyadh

Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), was honored to host and organize a one day workshop in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF), its first event in Saudi Arabia that took place in Riyadh on June 13th 2011, revolving around the theme, “ The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Evolving Business Environment: Exploring risks and Competitiveness”.

The event was held by invitation only, at the Four Seasons Hotel, and over 32 prominent businessmen as well as CEO's from elite companies within Saudi Arabia joined in on the discussions and participated with their input on how risks and competitiveness effect their business environment.

Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development for CPC was very pleased with the outcome of the workshop, and mentioned: “Through a detailed power point presentation prepared by the delegation from the WEF, statistics regarding all aspects of competitiveness, risks, and overall status in Saudi Arabia in relation to other Arab States was presented".

The main points discussed regarding global “Risks to Watch”were cyber security, demographic challenges & opportunities, human resources and globalization.

Those attended the workshop included senior executive officers representing: Atheeb Group, Dayim Holdings, Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, Saudi Hollandi Bank, Jadwa Investment, Al Gihaz Holding, Credit Suisse-Saudi Arabia, Tasnee, Olayan Financing, SABB, Saudi Oger, Al-Khabeer, CCC, Emaar, Tamer Group, Zurich Insurance, and the Chief Executive Officer of CPC, Eng. Mu’taz Sawwaf.

Dr. Alaquil added, “ CPC, “Your Complete Building Solution”a reliable source for all construction materials, and their advanced Industrial Parks within Saudi Arabia and abroad, have dedicated their resources and expertise towards not only sponsoring and setting up training facilities for young students, but is actively participating in Corporate Social Responsibility. In recognition of their vast contributions, CPC was presented the night before with an award for being the best Saudi company implementing CSR activities for the year 2011.

Together with their CSR activities, and their strong belief in working towards structuring a challenging employment program for Saudis, CPC foresees a very promising future for the youth in Saudi Arabia.
