The awareness workshop, held in cooperation with the National Rehabilitation Center, aimed to introduce inmates to the harmful effects of drugs and the problems they pose, as well as the means available to address these risks.

It also tackled strategies for preventing relapse and the health disorders that affect drug addicts.

Lecturer Dr. Anas Fikri highlighted the communicable diseases resulting from the use of narcotic drugs and how they are transmitted by the methods of taking them; the diseases that result from using these drugs; and other negative health effects, as well as the death rate, prevention of complications and treatments.
