MoI participates in the First Forum for Emirati Scholarship Students in Australia

The Ministry of Interior participated in the first forum for the Emirati scholarship students in Australia, to introduce the second edition of Minister of Interior’s Distinguished Scholarship Award. The forum was held under the auspices of the UAE General Consulate, in cooperation with the police attaché in Victoria, Melbourne, in Australia.

The UAE Consul General in Melbourne, Saeed Al Qamzi, gave a speech in which he stressed the embassy’s support to scholarship students, to help them improve their educational level as they represent the UAE overseas. He pointed the importance of the award in highlighting and motivating the Emirati scholarship students around the world especially the distinguished and creative students, and encouraging them to produce more innovations in police and security fields.

He urged the students to pursue and focus on knowledge, creativity and innovation, in line with the UAE vision and strategy.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Bin Daen Al Ghafli, Head of the Organizational Excellence Department at the Ministry of Interior stressed the keenness of the police command and its support to promote the award. He highlighted the attention given by the government to encourage the scholarship students to develop and improve their creativity and innovation, and instill the national identity. He explained the objectives, conditions, schedule, standards, participation method, and assessment method of the Distinguished Scholarship Award, along with the methods of communicating with students. He also stressed the technical support provided by the Organizational Excellence Department to the scholarship students.

He added that the forum aims to introduce the Minister of Interior’s Distinguished Scholarship Award which was primarily launched in line with the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Interior, based on the UAE’s strategy. He said that the award aims to highlight and encourage our students to create and innovate, promote the connection of the students with the UAE and instill the national values derived from our cultural heritage to reflect through the students on their performance in other countries to promote the cultural image of the Emirati people.

During the forum, separate discussion sessions were held between the students and the military, police and cultural attachés. The police attaché gave a brief presentation included guidelines and tips for Emirati students.

The representative of Minister of Interior’s Distinguished Scholarship Award gave a detailed explanation on the standards and participation requirements for the award’s second edition.

The first students’ forum was attended by Staff Brigadier Tareq Mohammed Al Bannai, Military Attaché; Major Majid Mofrej Al Ameri, Police Attaché; Captain Abdulaziz Salem Al Junaibi, Deputy Police Attaché; and First Lieutenant Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Representative of Minister of Interior’s Distinguished Scholarship Award.
