The Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police hosted a ceremony to honor partners and participants who contributed to the success of the 4th Gulf Inmates Week 2015. The ceremony was held in the main hall at the Training Institute at the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department in Al Wathba.
Brigadier Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi, Head of the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, praised the effort and dedication of all the partners and organizers in charge of the Gulf Inmates Week 2015. He emphasized that the rehabilitation of inmates is a shared responsibility between the Punitive and Correctional Institutions and community institutions, which constitute an essential part of the process.
Brigadier Al Zaabi pointed out to the important role played by the private and public sectors in support of the different programs, activities and events offered to inmates. These activities play a crucial and vital part in the success of inmates’ rehabilitation and reintegration into the community, being a key social and environmental enabler to help released inmates live as good citizens who can be useful to their homeland after serving their sentences.
Brigadier Al Zaabi thanked the sponsors, partners and committee members who took part in the Gulf Inmates Week, and urged them to pursue their efforts and cooperation. He also wished them the best of luck and success and expressed his wish to see them participate in upcoming events.
Brigadier Al Zaabi distributed prizes and thanks and appreciation certificates to partners, sponsors, and members of the organizing committees.
